Ruth Yeo-Peterman, MA, LMHC
Ruth Yeo-Peterman, MA, LMHC (she/her) is a licensed mental health counselor, psychotherapist trainer, trauma informed consultant, performer, and expressive arts facilitator whose work centers the transformative power of creativity, awe, and wonder. She has worked in diverse international settings and contexts, including refugee and immigrant care, rehabilitation, youth development, restorative justice, trauma-informed capacity building, and community mental health with people across the lifespan. For seven years, Ruth was Vice President of Program Development and Training at a nonprofit specializing in arts-based tools for trauma care and psychosocial support. She has taught in Antioch University’s creative arts program, represents the Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute and ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership in the U.S., and works with a global nonprofit on resilience and capacity building initiatives for civil society organizations and human rights defenders in exile. Her greatest teachers are her children, the gifts of earth and experience, and the many incredible beings and luminaries with whom she has had the privilege to descend from, work with, and learn from.
