Groundswell’s Surf Therapy™ trainings offer a pathway for personal growth and professional skill-building through ocean-based healing. Rooted in somatic, eco-therapy, and community-centered practices, each level supports participants in developing nervous system awareness, embodied facilitation skills, and the confidence to hold safe, inclusive surf therapy spaces. Led by licensed clinicians and experienced practitioners, the trainings provide practical tools, curricula, and community support to bring surf therapy into service of your unique community
Level 1 Surf Therapy For Trauma Recovery
is an immersive introduction to trauma-informed surf therapy for therapists, students, surf coaches, and ocean-connected community members. This training explores the neuroscience of trauma, somatic healing practices, and the ocean’s role as a powerful co-regulator, offering tools that can be felt in the body and carried into the water. Through reflection, community learning, and beach-to-sea practices, participants build a strong foundation for holding safe, healing surf therapy spaces.
March 22 & 29th
