Groundswell is built by people who believe the ocean heals and who show up every week to create safer, braver spaces for individuals and communities to access trauma-informed surf therapy. Whether you're a clinician in training, a surf therapy practitioner, or just beginning your surf therapy journey, we'd love to meet you.

Groundswell's clinical internship offers emerging clinicians the opportunity to deepen their therapeutic practice through somatic, surf, eco-, play, group, and expressive arts therapy, co-facilitating surf therapy programs for diverse communities in San Diego. All staff receive training, supervision, and certification in the Groundswell Surf Therapy™ model.
Who this is for
Associates and practicum students working toward licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. People with diverse backgrounds that reflect the communities Groundswell serves. If you're curious, humble, and committed to embodied, community-centered healing, we invite you to apply.
